Miele bicycle from 1920 with front buffer brake, rear coaster brake, 2-light Bosch headlight, original even in the details and in perfect condition, has original plates, emblems and bell with the Miele brand.
This bicycle has been requested several times to film TV series and used for weddings.
Purchased used by Luigi Testi in Bolzano in 1946 and put back in perfect order by him thanks to a conservative restoration.
Miele company history
The company was founded on 1 July 1899 in Herzebrock by two partners, Carl Miele (1869-1938, who gave the company its name) and Reinhard Zinkann (1864-1939). The activity took place in a former sawmill with a staff of 11 workers and began with the construction of milk centrifuges and subsequently electric motor churns. In 1900, using the same operating principle, he created his first washing machine. In 1907 the company employed 60 people and moved its headquarters and production to a factory in nearby Gütersloh, and in 1911 it started producing bicycles.
