The story of Glory
It was 1922 when Alfredo Forcesi founded Gloria in Viale Abruzzi 42 in Milan. He doesn't know it yet, but shortly thereafter that factory will be the hotbed of the greatest Italian cycling talents, such as Faliero Masi and Ernesto Colnago, who began working at Gloria in the 1930s.
The sporting history of the Gloria begins well: after only one year of production, the Gloria can already boast its own brand of iridated colours, immediately winning a world championship: the one won in 1923 by Libero Ferrario. In 1931 Francesco Camusso brought the Milanese brand back to the headlines by winning the Giro d'Italia.
The Gloria racing team would later boast other champions, such as Costante Giradengo and Learco Guerra.
Until the Second World War, Gloria was considered one of the best-known brands in the entire Italian cycling production. The flagship of the production is the “Garibaldina” model. Since the 1920s, Gloria bicycles have been recognized by the very high level of finishing and the typical flower-like conjunctions. These are details that Colnago and other craftsmen brought onto their bicycles only from the 1950s
